By default, tracing for the workflow agent is turned off. You can turn it on by executing a SET_OPTIONS administration method with the -trace_workflow_agent option specified. For more information about the SET_OPTIONS administration method, refer to SET_OPTIONS.

If you execute the SET_OPTIONS administration method, tracing starts immediately. It is not necessary to restart the server. However, if you stop and restart the server, you must reissue the SET_OPTIONS administration method to restart the tracing.

The trace messages are recorded in the server log file.
