Run the RECOVER_AUTO_TASKS administration method to recover workflow tasks that have been claimed, but not yet processed by a workflow agent associated with a failed Content Server.
If a Content Server fails, its workflow agent is also stopped. When the server is restarted, the workflow agent recognizes and processes any work items it had claimed but not processed before the failure. However, if you cannot restart the Content Server that failed, you must recover those work items already claimed by its associated workflow agent so that another workflow agent can process them. The RECOVER_AUTO_TASKS administration method performs that recovery.
To run the RECOVER_AUTO_TASKS administration method:
Navigate to Administration > Job Management > Administration Methods.
The system displays the Administration Methods list page.
Click RECOVER_AUTO_TASKS.
The system displays the Parameters page.
Select a server from the Server Config drop-down list box.
Before executing the RECOVER_AUTO_TASKS administration method, make sure that the specified Content Server is not running.
Click Run.
The system runs the method and then displays the results on the Result page.
Click Close.
The system displays the Administration Methods list page.
