Adding privileged DFC clients

The Manage Clients page displays the list of DFC clients created in the repository. When an you select one or more DFC clients as a privileged DFC client, a DFC client object is created in the logged in repository and displayed on the Privileged Clients page. The public key certificate is copied to the local repository.

Note

To add a privileged DFC client, you must be logged in as a superuser and you must be the owner of the dm_acl_superusers ACL or the install owner.

  1. Navigate to Administration > Client Rights Management > Privileged Clients to access the Privileged Clients list page.

  2. Click Manage Clients to access the Manage Clients page.

    Note

    The Manage Clients button is disabled if a global registry is not configured or is unavailable.

    The Manage Clients page provides the following information:

    Client Name

    The name of the DFC client.

    Client ID

    A unique identifier for the DFC client.

    Host Name

    The name of the host on which the DFC client is installed.

    Creation Date

    The creation date of the DFC client.

  3. To search for a DFC client, enter the name, or a portion of the name of the DFC client in the search field, then click .

    The system displays all registered DFC clients that match the criteria that you entered.

  4. Select the registered DFC clients that you want to add as privileged clients, then click .

    The selected DFC clients move to the right side.

  5. Click OK to return to the Privileged Clients list page.
