An Atmos store is an EMC software storage system that consists of several distributed services running on a network of connected hardware nodes. Each node is attached to one more disk enclosures. The nodes run a collection of services to store, retrieve, categorize, and manage the data in the system or cloud.

Content Server uses the ACS connector to communicate with the Atmos store. The ACS module supports storing and retrieving of content through an HTTP interface.
