Modifying a Java Method Server configuration

Only users with superuser privileges can modify Java Method Server (JMS) configurations.

To modify Java method server configuration:

  1. Log in to the repository for which you want to modify the JMS configuration.

  2. Select Administration > Basic Configuration > Java Method Servers

    Java Method Server Configuration page displays.

  3. Select the JMS configuration you want to modify, then select View > Properties > Info or right-click the JMS configuration object and select Properties.

    The Java Method Server Configuration Properties page displays.

  4. View or modify the information for the JMS configuration, as described in Table 2.15.

Field label

Description

Name

The name of the JMS configuration.

Enable

Enables or disables the JMS.

Select this option to enable the JMS configuration or deselect to disable the JMS.

  

Associated Content Servers

 

Content Server

The list of Content Servers that is associated with the JMS configuration.

A JMS configuration can be associated with one or more Content Servers. For more information about installing multiple Content Servers, Java Method Servers, and the supported JMS failover configurations, refer to the Content Server Enterprise Edition Installation Guide.

Content Server location

Specifies whether the JMS is associated with a remote Content Server. Valid values are:

  • Java Method Server for primary Content Server: The associated Content Server is local.

  • Java Method Server for secondary (or additional) Content Server: The associated Content Server is remote (RCS).

Add

Click Add to add and associate a Content Server with the JMS configuration.

The Servlet URL Editor page displays. Select the Content Server and intended purpose, as described in Adding or modifying associated Content Servers.

Edit

Select the Content Server and click Edit to modify the Content Server associated with the JMS configuration.

The Servlet URL Editor page displays. Modify the intended purpose, as described in Adding or modifying associated Content Servers.

Remove

Select the Content Server and click Remove to remove the Content Server from the JMS configuration.

Name

The name of the Java servlet.

URL

The location of the Java servlet.
